There is something so effortlessly intimate and sweet about downtown Benicia. It’s a small town that not many people know about, but it holds so many natural gems and beautiful historic details. The pier provided the sweetest setting for Samantha and Mike’s Maternity session. A perfect sunset along the pier was our ultimate goal and man did the night deliver.

This sweet couple came so prepared and I was vastly in love with Sam’s first look a gorgeous mustard yellow maxi dress and stunning floral head piece. I’m slightly biased as I believe in all things yellow. (Check out my obsessive Pinterest board if you think I’m joking!) This looked just captured the beautiful sun and stunning pregnancy glow both Sam and Mike were naturally flaunting! The evening just kept getting better as we found small alleys and nooks with gems for sweet golden backdrops. I was so pleased when Mike informed how the had wed in Hawaii behind a similar natural backdrop. (In no way am I comparing a pier to that timeless beauty of the Hawaiian ocean, but I’m glad we came close.)
