M& D | Hidden Fairfield Vineyards Wedding

When D approached me about photographing her wedding I was shocked in two ways. One I had no idea she was seeing someone, and two I was petrified as at this time I had not shot a wedding of my own. I had yet to build the confidence to take on a wedding under my own companying. Up to this point I was still shadowing fellow photographers, and acting as a second shooter. So for her to believe in me and my work really made me feel so good, and nervous. M and D could not have been the more perfect couple to be my first solo wedding! They were such an easy going couple with the most fantastic bridal party.

M and D chose to capture their wedding day portraits at the sweet intimate Blue Victorian Vineyards in the Suisun/Fairfield area. I love this location because it’s such a nice hidden gem off the beat and path of the Napa Valley area. The vineyard holds its own unique style and setup. My one hesitation was shooting an outside wedding in February. It was raining all week, but thankfully on the day of their wedding the sun was out and the vineyards were just lovely for their portraits. Also, it wad the perfect weather to shoot film!
