Love Conquers All | Oakland Micro Wedding
After 3 dates and a possible cancellation the popular home wedding, and drive by reception saved this couples big day. It would be my very first experience like this for 2020, and little did I know that there would be more to come. O + B were two young people who were madly in love and they said it felt like an eternity to wait to be together. One thing that these unconventional weddings taught me is that this was truly based on love.
The wedding was no longer center and focus on decorations, elaborate cakes, and jaw dropping venue. Within this pandemic it brought them back home in a sense to remind them just why they want to say ‘I do’, and how much they love each other. Some might have seen it as over simplistic, but to the untrained I you might have just missed the true passion and love that over flowed in the streets that day. The love and excitement from all their family members as they honked from their cars; some hanging out the window barley even in the car any more. O + B smiled so wide and yelled back and waved. It was such a pleasure to capture all this joy. One of my favorite parts was seeing that even their neighbors had made signs and come out their homes to celebrate with them.
Even during times of hardship, times of change, times where things can almost seem to break us, love endures. If anything proved that. It was this beautiful side street wedding. Honk for the Couple, and an extra ’toot toot’ for their forever.
